Kid Governor Makhi presented Protecting Our Pets, a live virtual program for students on Friday, March 4, 2022. The program fulfilled the first point of his platform: Educate Connecticut students about the signs of animal abuse and showing kindness towards companion animals.
This special program featured Kid Governor Makhi and animal experts Tanya Wescovich, State Animal Control Officer at the Department of Agriculture, and Ashley Marshall, Community Outreach Manager at the Connecticut Humane Society.
You can watch a recording of the program below, on YouTube, or on Facebook. It is appropriate for students (and adults!) of all ages.
