Cabinet: 2022 Kid Governor’s Cabinet
My name is Makhi Ettienne-Modeste and I live in Windsor and I go to John F. Kennedy School. I participate in lots of sports including basketball, football, and soccer but I also enjoy playing with my dogs (Blue and Paco), playing checkers, reading, and spending time with friends and family. My leadership qualities include being empathetic, outgoing, patient, and most importantly loving.
CTKG Makhi’s Platform
2022 Connecticut’s Kid Governor Makhi Ettienne-Modeste was elected on his Preventing Animal Cruelty platform. His platform focuses on three platform points:
1. Educate Connecticut 5th graders about the signs of animal abuse.
2. Create posters that raise awareness of animal cruelty.
3. Donate to shelters to help animals that have been abused.

Announcing Makhi as the 2022 CTKG
On November 17, 2021, NBC Connecticut’s Keisha Grant and Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz announced that Makhi Ettienne-Modeste was elected by the state’s fifth graders to serve as the 2022 Connecticut’s Kid Governor.
