About Ellie!
My name is Elisavet “Ellie” Mendez. I live in Monroe and I go to Monroe Elementary School. I am a jokester, I am a master at blanket forts, and I have always wanted to skydive! Also, I have won 12 medals in gymnastics. I love doing backflips! As a leader, I am driven for change. I can voice my own opinions and will be heard!

Announcing Ellie as the 2023 CTKG
On November 22, 2022, WFSB Connecticut’s Wendell Edwards and Secretary of the State Mark Kohler announced that Ellie Mendez was elected by the state’s fifth graders to serve as the 2023 Connecticut’s Kid Governor.
