Kid Governor Keudy Martinez‘s platform is “Speaking Up for Safe & Happy Schools” and it addresses both mental health and bullying. One way Keudy addressed mental health was by collaborating with the Department of Children and Families and CT Family Day on a statewide poster contest!
Keudy invited 5th graders to submit artwork that answers the question:
In what ways do you and your family take care of your mental health?
After much discussion, Kid Governor Keudy, his Cabinet, and partners from the Department of Children and Families selected Srishti Aurora from Latimer Lane School in Simsbury as the contest winner!
