A Message from the Connecticut’s Kid Governor Team

The Connecticut’s Kid Governor® team is looking forward to another exciting election season this fall. While there is uncertainty about this upcoming school year and how classrooms will look, we are committed to engaging 5th grade students in learning about civics and state government– in the classroom, at home, and in their communities.

We have created our signature Toolkits of lesson plans and resources to guide you through the Connecticut’s Kid Governor program. We are thinking through creative ways to adapt the program for this fall and welcome your suggestions and ideas. Now, more than ever, how to be engaged in our communities is an important lesson that all students should learn. We are committed to supporting you as you teach valuable civics lessons and skills to your 5th graders.
