We’re here to help you bring Kid Governor® to life in your classroom! Educators are invited to drop into our weekly Office Hours on Zoom to ask questions, get support, and connect with our team. You can also watch our Introduction to Kid Governor® recorded webinar—a 1-hour overview of the program, its classroom resources, and the election process. You’ll leave inspired and ready to launch Kid Governor® in your school this fall!
Kid Governor’s Library Circuit
Kid Governor Keudy Martinez and members of his Cabinet will visit four libraries this September for the 2025 Kid Governor’s Library Circuit! They will speak with fellow students and community members about their platforms, how kids can get involved, their terms in office, and how 5th graders can participate in the Kid Governor program. Don’t miss your chance to meet these student leaders in person!
Kid Governor® Launches
in Nebraska and Vermont!
This spring, The Connecticut Democracy Center announced its newest affiliate programs: Nebraska’s Kid Governor® in partnership with Civic Nebraska, and Vermont’s Kid Governor® in partnership with the Vermont Secretary of State’s Office! This fall, Nebraska and Vermont 5th graders will learn important lessons about state government, voting, and civic participation as they elect their states’ first Kid Governors!
Meet the 2025 Kid Governor & Cabinet!
The Kid Governor’s Cabinet is led by 2025 Kid Governor Keudy Martinez and includes the six 2024 Statewide Election candidates. The Cabinet meets monthly to advise Kid Governor Keudy, discuss how they can support Keudy’s campaign platform in their own communities, and collaborate as they advance their own three-point platforms.
