CTKG Reese invited to National Governors Association Virtual Winter Meeting with President Biden

To close out February, the National Governors Association invited Connecticut’s Kid Governor Reese, New Hampshire’s Kid Governor Charlie, and Oregon’s Kid Governor Taneesh to attend a public session of their Virtual Winter Meeting 2021 featuring remarks from President Joe Biden. The students attended the livestreamed session and were able to listen to President Biden’s remarks about the big issues facing our country and the role of the nation’s governors.

Thank You for the Positive Letters!

As a part of CTKG Reese’s first platform point, 5th graders were invited to create Valentine’s Day cards to send to their local nursing homes. During the February holidays, hundreds of cards were send to area nursing homes in the Southington, Meriden, West Hartford, and Cornwall areas..

Even though Valentine’s Day is over, your class can still participate! Consider creating greeting cards with positive messages to keep the emotional positivity going this spring! You can find suggested messages and more information HERE.
