2019 Library Circuit

Connecticut’s Kid Governor Ella Briggs is hitting the road for her 2019 Library Circuit. Typically done in the summer, this year’s library visits will be in early autumn due to popular demand. Join Ella and the CTKG team at libraries across the state the learn more about Ella’s Pride-Hope-Love platform and how you can get involved.

Circuit Dates and Locations:
Stop #1: Raymond Library in East Hartford on September 11, 2019 at 6:30pm.
Stop #2: Russell Library in Middletown on September 14, 2019 at 10:00am.
Stop #3: Willimantic Public Library in Windham on September 14, 2019 at 12:45pm.
Stop #4: Silas Bronson Library in Waterbury on September 28, 2019 at 11:00am.
Stop #5: Fairfield Public Library in Fairfield on September 28, 2019 at 2:00pm.


CTKG Ella’s Library Circuit So Far…

On September 11, 2019, Connecticut’s Kid Governor Ella Briggs kicked off her 2019 Library Circuit at Raymond Library in East Hartford, Connecticut. She was joined by East Hartford Mayor Marcia Leclerc, Library Director Sarah Kline Morgan and Children’s Librarian Cathy Potter, the East Hartford Brownie Troop and other local students. Ella was also interviewed by the Journal Inquirer following her presentation– which you can read HERE

On September 14, 2019, CTKG Ella made two Library Circuit stops. In the morning, she visited Russell Library in Middletown to share her Pride-Hope-Love platform. Those in attendance asked Ella questions about her Cabinet and their platforms, how she’s liked being Connecticut’s Kid Governor, and thanked her for all she’s done.

That afternoon, Ella was joined by her family at Cragin Memorial Library in Colchester. Those in attendance included members of the middle school GSA (Gay Straight Alliance), local elementary school students, and adult supporters. CTKG Ella was event visited by her state senator, Norm Needleman.
