To achieve the third point of her platform, Kid Governor Ellie Mendez will create a digital mental health hub with uplifting messages and resources to inspire kids. One way she collected inspiring messages is by partnering with the Department of Children and Families on a statewide poster contest!
Ellie invited 5th graders to submit artwork that answered the question:
What is an uplifting or inspiring message for kids struggling with anxiety and depression?
After much discussion, Kid Governor Ellie, her Cabinet, and partners from the Department of Children and Families selected Hilary Boris from Andover Elementary School in Andover as the contest winner!
Kid Governor Ellie and her Cabinet also identified 12 Finalists. Congratulations to these students and all who submitted artwork!
