Evening Conversations with Connecticut’s Old State House

Join staff from Connecticut’s Old State House for a Facebook Live event at 7pm on Tuesday, January 12th. During this special conversations, 2020 CTKG Myra Stanfield will reflect on her year in office, her Standing Up for Animals in Need platform, and her plans for the future. CTKG-elect Reese Naughton will share highlights of her campaign for positivity and mental health awareness during the COVID-19 pandemic and plans for fulfilling her platform.

From 2020 to 2021: Leadership Transition Meeting

On December 19, 2020, Connecticut’s Kid Governor Myra Stanfield and members of her Cabinet met with their 2021 counterparts to share their experiences and tips on what to expect over their upcoming terms. The students were joined by their parents and several of their teachers along with the Kid Governor staff for this exciting Zoom meeting.


2021 CTKG Reese & Pandemic Health

Reese Naughton was elected by 5th graders across the state to serve as the 2021 Connecticut’s Kid Governor and to work on her platform of Pandemic Health. Following her inauguration in January, Reese will work on her three-point plan of action to help improve mental health in our communities and promote safety during the pandemic. 

Make sure to follow along on social media, through e-blast notifications, and on our website for updates on Reese’s term. We will accept interview and appearance requests in January after Reese’s Inauguration. Please check back for our forth-coming request form.


Congratulations to Ms. Signori’s 5th Grade Class: #CTKGvotes2020 Winner

In their first year participating in Connecticut’s Kid Governor, Ms. Signori’s class at Parkville Community School in Hartford submitted this “Every Vote Counts” picture for the #CTKGvotes2020 contest. There were over thirty photos submitted for this year’s contest, the most ever! Congratulations to Ms. Signori’s class and thank you, everyone for submitting your pictures!
